Hi,
I've just done mine and followed this: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ead.php?t=4512 I bought the pump from DMGRS so there wasn't all the stripping down of the Peugeot plastic gubbins. https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...-2-pump-system It's not particularly difficult but do take your time and be steady and careful. Good luck. |

I have fitted new motor into fuel pump housing quite easy getting out apart from removal of pipe onto of motor had to cut I am afraid the next difficulty was getting out of motor from fuel pump housing I snapped some of the housing very brittle on mine I managed to fit new motor to pump housing fitted electric points easily it seem to go together okey even though I snapped some of it hopefully it does not fall apart in fuel tank the next difficulty was getting the pipe on the top of motor I secured with a cable tie seems to hold fine attached battery and electrical connector it burst into life for the first time as I have never had a working in tank fuel pump as it was kaput the last one 17 years old never changed by previous owner all working now which is a result for my rover project as it broke down last weekend due to fuel issues which are all sorted now thankyou for your help

Well done. Aged brittle plastics seem to be quite a problem in a lot of areas of our lives now and as the plastics break down in landfills and make their way into our food and water supplies, we shall be in a very sorry state. We must recycle where we can and think of better ways to dispose of plastics safely. If you think of the miles of plastic pipework that is now out there, it is very worrying for the future. We used to worry about lead and copper pipes affecting our health. Brittle "rubber" is also worrying as our cars age, with all the "rubber" parts in braking and other hydraulic systems that we rely on.
