Default The Railway Man - Film 4 Tue 9pm

Read the book by Eric Lomax some while ago. An incredible story.

I have heard the film with Colin Firth is exceptional.

I think this is the first time it has been on TV?

Well worth recording I hope.

It is a quite exceptional film with a superb performance from Colin Firth as one would expect from a man of his talent.
I'm sure you'll love it, I was transfixed!

Some of it was filmed near here, Cockenzie just along the road and North Berwick.

Thanks for the heads up; I'm not a television/film person but found this a compelling film, and well acted. Disturbing but based on a true story which makes it much more interesting.

If you get a chance to read the book I would recommend it.

But be warned - some of the visual images it puts in your head stay there.
