What is wrong with Photobucket???
For the past couple of weeks or so, I am having trouble accessing Photobucket. Normally, it logs me in automatically but it hasn't been doing so lately. So, I click on log in where my username and password is already stored. When I go to sign in, it refreshes it back to the log in page. Sometimes, it will log me in but when I then click on my library or upload, it takes me back to the log in page. Log in details are correct. This is happening on all my devices - Windows PC, iPad and iPhone. Occassionally, it will work. Not sure what is going on. Anyone else having issues?
Grrrrr!

That is exactly what has been happening. And it is doing me head in. I'm trying to upload a picture and I am unable to. I've never been that keen on photobucket but not sure what else is out there so I have still been using it to host my pictures. Very annoying.

Try imgur.com - I started using it in preference to photobucket and it works a treat.

Hi Ravinder, you're definitely not alone - I used to use Photobucket all the time, but it seems to have been getting worse for quite a long time and is now pretty much unusable these days.
I jumped ship to Flickr some time ago and haven't looked back since. It's a much nicer interface and more user-friendly, especially without the annoying scammy adverts that so often appear in Photobucket. |

Photobucket went 'down' for three or four days recently and compromised not only thousands of people's efforts but also many businesses that rely on PB for their web support. There was quite a lot of bile being spat I can tell you. Maybe they 'lost' your login records? If so, you're a lot luckier than some. Anyway, after doing whatever took them three days to do, the PB site is as crippled as it was. I'd suggest installing a script manager for your browser and disarm as many PB scripts as you can get away with. The site then becomes almost tolerable. Failing that look elsewhere for your hosting.

Cheers. I do have a Flickr account, but wish to keep this clean and only use it for my photography. I think I will look for another site that I can keep my photos on like imgur as suggested.

Last week photo bucket was officially closed for 48 hours, so that it could upgrade its service to subscribers. I decided not to pay for the upgrade until support has resolved all of its bugs and issues. I wrote an email to complain about their appalling service, that I was not able to access any of my libraries using the iPhone. Since then, my access has been reinstated and I received an apology back. Have you emailed their support with your problem? Just a thought. |

I gave up on Photobucket a while ago - it was so slow and uploads often failed, and I never found it easy to use for posting pictures anyway, in spite of what some folks on here would say.
I still think there is an issue on this forum regarding an easy method to post pictures in threads - when I did a 'how to' recently, I typed it in Word adding pictures and 'saving' as I went, then PDF'd it and posted as an attachment. There is no way to save draft threads on here, which is what you need if writing a long ' how to' - one false move and you lose everything and have to start the thread again ! Pete |
