I hope they both loose their jobs and are prosecuted.

Yep, I agree. They'll probably get away with it, though.

Default Facts

Easy to judge without knowing facts though. Call was graded level 2 so attend within 60 minutes. We have no idea how long these guys had been on shift without a break.

It may of course turn out to be out of order but folk are very quick to criticise our Police Forces when not in possession of all the facts and what had been going on before and after.

Bottom line is most folk when in trouble, threatened, hurt pick up the phone and want those who they have criticised to sort out their problems.

They are a very easy target for media and others who have no appreciation of how difficult their job is.

Like many things in life ...you need to have both sides of a story before judging!

Unfortunately the problem isn't just with the police, and I understand the difficulties the emergency service personnel have but that;s the job they undertook.
Some years ago my mother who was in her eighties had a fall at home and broke her hip an ambulance was called to take her to hospital I would follow in the car on the way the ambulance turned off route and parked outside the ambulance station whilst the crew took their break leaving my mother in the ambulance unattended.... Eventually they proceeded to the hospital which was eight minutes from the ambulance station.
When i complained to the crew they asked me "What's your problem" I was nearly arrested following this.... I was homicidal
I admit it not generally the case and on the whole the emergency services are very good at what they do.

Three days ago my next door neighbour had three rolls of carpet delivered, whose daughter just happens to work for the NHS as a driver, an ambulance turned up this morning and the three rolls of carpet we're duly loaded and driven away.
