Thumbs down Yodel waste of space

well iv'e waited in all day for my new wing for my wifes pick up to be delivered by Yodel, have checked the tracking details regularly, then all of a sudden a message comes up "returned to depot"... tried calling and was told unable to deliver your parcel today then they hung up, so i rang back to complain and ask why they couldn't deliver today, can't tell me why, can't tell me when, so not a happy person.

the only problem with these cheap couriers is they are not reliable, would rather pay a little more and know it will be delivered on time.

You hit the nail right on the head Tony, you gets what you pay for!

I use Parcelforce, have done for years, and have never once had an issue.
Yes they're a bit more expensive than the Yodels, Hermes etc, etc but worth the little bit extra for peace of mind!

I do avoid using Yodel, but lately I have been using various couriers without issue. Mainly been using Hermes for UK, UKMail for overseas, and DPD for channel islands, also used UPS in the past but what I've been sending lately has been too big for them.

I've got a relatively small parcel to send at the moment, 31x13x13cm and 3.2kg, Hermes 2 day delivery, £5.87, cheapest option on the RM website is Parcelforce48 at £13!

Try parcel2go and you’ll be able to use ups or DPD.
If booking parcelforce I book through https://www.senditnow.com

Sent from my iPhone using One finger typing 😂

Just to add to the list of parcel deliverers who don't live up to their promises - Tuffnells Big Green Parcel Machine.
Guaranteed delivery Monday - eventually turned up Wednesday teatime. The only reason given was "we couldn't deliver your parcel".

I find collect + very good, hundreds of drop off points and they will even print the label for you.

Thanks, Parcel2Go is the main site I use, but I do find sometimes it's cheaper with the same courier, through another site. DPD was £5 cheaper to book directly through their own website, parcelforce is a few pence cheaper via P2G.

Well it arrived Saturday, looked like some one had been dancing on the box, boot prints all over it, refused to let me open it to check for dammage before signing for it, could see it was bent from the packaging so refused it and have requested a refund.
See how i get on
