Scamming the elderly!!!
My mum (95) keeps sending off for stuff that is advertised in the TV papers and getting scammed by poor quality, out of date products, or no delivery at all. I won't say who it is on an open forum but the following information may be useful:-
Read at the following link re:- Healthy Living Direct Limited Gardenability Limited Timeless Beauty Limited Sparkling Touches Limited Home Independence Limited Affordable Choices Limited Fashion Friendly Limited Housewares Direct Limited Are all companies with the same address of Wadsworth Road, Driffield, East Yorkshire YO25 9DJ https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com...imited-warning Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  These companies advertise in TV listings papers and bombard you with flyers and post once they have you on the hook. They seem to directly target the elderly. Contact is via email (mostly ignored) and premium rate numbers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Alas there are scum out there that will scam.
Have you advised trading standards? How does she pay, if by credit card can the credit card help you? Have you contacted the places that take their advertisements? Is it worth speaking to the police? Is it time that Power of Attorney took over? macafee2 |

South west drain services is another, my mum has been scammed off them.
There is another legitimate company called South West Drainage Services Ltd that have put a disclaimer on their webpage saying they are not affiliated with the other company and do not offer any drainage insurance. The director is called Kiran Osborne, (the bogus company that is) he has started and resigned from directorship of various companies if you look up the bogus firm on companies house page and search people.
