mk1 chrome grill
Hi all i have purchased a chrome grill for my 02 tourer but it doesn't have the guide on the inside of it that houses the bonnet release arm which pops out the front of the grill when you pull the bonnet release inside the car my question is would the one on my original grill which is just grey plastic with the chromed frame fit the chromed grill and if so how is it fixed can it be removed without breaking it and is it an easy fit to the chrome one thanks in advance for any advice

The old one is ultrasonically welded to the grille, this can be removed by using a soldering iron and melting the tangs.
I would say a good adhesive (tiger seal) To reattach it to the new grille.

This is how I put the guide on the back of my chrome grill.
Really quick and easy
