Wheel bearing, CV joint, steering rack?!
Hey all,
I have been having some issues with the steering on my CDT 75. When taking a sharp turn (particularly turning left) I get a rumbling noise from the front of the car as if something is rubbing. There is also a low rumbling noise at motorway speeds. When pulling away the car tends to pull to the left. Checked so far: 4-wheel alignment New tyres The car passed its MOT 3 weeks ago with no issues. Any help would be much appreciated! Millage is currently at 240,000 so anything is possible! |

Get the front end up in the air, spin the front wheels, try rocking the front wheels and turning steering from lock to lock, check front disc splash guards for being lose.
See if that gives you any feedback. macafee2 |

Also check the wheel arch liners under the wings and the brake duct cooling spoilers for soundness and fixings.
Wheel bearings can also rumble when under turning load, as can drive shaft and supports.
