Hi Scott and Matt, thank you for your clear interest in keeping these cars of ours on the road. I admire you for taking a decision like this in such straightened times. It obviously has not been an easy decision to make. Thank you for all you are doing.

Thanks all - the feedback is really appreciated, and fingers crossed they'll be a good solution to the issue.
Developing and having the tooling made up hasn't been easy (or cheap) but it'll be worth it in the end I'm sure!

Here's to our cars. Take care all
Mat

They look fabulous . It great to see someone developing an improved product an a car of a certain age . It shows real commitment. And confirms a strong following for the 75.
Keep it up .

Can I ask when DMGRS will be foraying into the manufacture of metal clutch slave and master cylinders?

If you guys could crack this (not the Tazu nonsense) and make a sturdy slave cylinder that has pipework that fits, is smooth and light in operation and stands up to the rigours of sitting inside a hot and sweaty bellhousing, you should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

I reckon you would have a flood of orders...

I looked at a Tazu and the pushrod was exceptionally smooth and light - I don't know what it would be like with fluid though.

In the end I decided against the Tazu, partly because of the horrible pipework route, although it would be easier to do without the scuttle, wiper gear and closing panels. Here's an LuK master pipe (blue label) running through the tricky bit, as seen with the RH and centre closing panels off.

PS. An even worse job than routing the master cylinder pipe is trying to get that damned drain tube back in place (the black thing just behind the blue label). Who the hell decided to put the hole under the servo.

There has been enough dialogue on this forum detailing the issues with the Tazu master and slave cylinders, along with the documented component failures, similar to the LUK plastic originals.

I would have hoped that someone could have reproduced the plastic master and slaves in aluminium and to the identical dimensions design so these could be direct replacements.

Sadly this success seems to be forever elusive.

Has anybody actually document what part, exactly, that fails in the Tazu cylinder.

Most master and slave failures turn out to be the rubber piston seal.

PS. However having posted up those seal picture I realised the wear was not on the working part of the seal.----It was originally posted up by French-Mike to show where the black particles in the fluid came from.-
