hi steven
it looks like the video unit is at fault if you could borrow a video unit to try to see if that is the fault or what you could try is take the blue connector off the video unit then take the blue cover off the connector then using a voltage meter test that there is voltage going to the WRY WIRE white red yellow and to the gk wire GREEN PINK pin 1 and pin 3 if my memory serves me right try this to see what happens

Cheers David really appreciate the help, am away in Germany until Wednesday evening so will give that a go, and also just get an idea whats about on ebay or the facebook forums. Will keep you posted.

Well just back from Germany, fired the car up and hey Presto head unit display working ok for all modes and settings including sat nav, looks like video unit got wet and has dried out. Fingers crossed. Appreciate all the advice David.

hi steve
that is great news have a look in the boot to see if there is any water if so wipe up the water and then if the car has been out in the rain have a look to see if there is any water getting in keep an eye on this as it may cause more damage
