Auto not starting in P
Hi All,
I have just started having trouble starting my auto in P. If I give it a knock forward it starts fine (just a bit worried if it gets worse)! I seem to recall a thread about a fix but can`t find anything in the searches can any kind soul point me to the thread please? Neil |

It’s probably the nut at the end of the linkage that needs adjusting, happens quite often. Hope that helps
Mick

Diesel Dick
Check the bush where the selector cable joins to the g/box it's a sort of nylon or hard rubber one through which passes the pin holding the cable it may be worn. Alternate solution start it with the selector in neutral.

Yeah its really easy to do mate just look under the car at the gearbox where the arm meets the cable, might need a very very slight adjustment, had to adjust quite a few before on different 75’s. Less than a 5 min job, if you was near mine I’d have done it outside the house lol Mick
