Is this just a fix for the rattly plastic butterfies, or something that allows the kv6 to make the power it should?
If the latter is part of the reason you'll need to factor in retiming the cams...

No it's not a fix for the old one but an entirely new thing

Been waiting and watching. This should be good for us kv6 owners.

Saying that I have another manifold and additional Viz motors stored ready for use

I have seen pictures and the engineering is very impressive.
It looks like it was made by a major manufacturer and the physical parts appear to be close to production ready. (Although, like many modern things I am sure software development is as important as the bits you can see).
In fact the jigs used to manufacture the parts are impressive in themselves. This isn't a "Welded by me in my shed" product!

Is there going to be a big market for this? I cant see the economics working, but jolly good if it comes to be. Chris S.

Unfortunately this is why the originals are no longer made - it wasn't deemed economically viable to have a new mould made after the tooling was damaged.

I get asked for KV6 manifolds at least daily - but the answer is always the same when I tell customers that the only option at the moment is from Land Rover, and costs upwards of £1,000.

I sold 7-10 a week at £600, but only a couple per month now they're into 4 figures.

I poddle around within the speed limits and my V6 has plenty of power to do all that I want. I am lucky (touch wood) that I don't seem to have any VIS motor problems. I am very interested to see any modifications/improvements to the 75/ZT range and just hope that I never need them!

I am sure he has done the maths for this adventure. But being an ex Rover engineer he can see a fix and have the technical knowhow.
Artic, Kaiser, stocktake and many others have made upgraded parts for our cars and modal specific. I guess there business model is that a little profit is all that is needed to make the venture a viable thing to keep ticking over not really to becoming a multi millionaire.
Watched a wheeler dealer on the Lotus Elan. A Lotus Elan specialist had made some in house uprated cv joints that replace the original rubber doughnuts, the women sold it as a fit and forget item. So the customer base for this product is small and re sale is even smaller as no one will buy another. eg our metal thermostat for the kv6 engine.
