If you are fitting the 190 calipers to the front, are you going to fit the 190 master cylinder and the larger servo that goes with it??
I understand that not doing so can make an imbalance between rear and front brakes that can cause the back end to be a little unpredictable on wet corners... The larger pot volume in the front means a bigger master cylinder stroke is needed to have the same piston deflection.. if the master cylinder is not fitted, it could mean more brake force to the rear than is needed and not enough pressure to the front.. I learned that lesson early after fitting the setup to the front of a ZT I had... no such issue after fitting the correct master cylinder... The push rod to the servo is a different bore as well so the bigger servo is needed.

When I drove HGV throughout Europe and the Middle east I found that the exhaust brakes pretty inadequate but when I drove in the USA the jake engine brakes were in a different class. You could use 2, 4 or 6 cylinder braking.
I was pretty freighted up on the Interstate 80 in Wyoming heading west and on the downward track to Salt Lake City one goes downhill for about 40 miles. With the wide sweeping bends I had the truck up to 80 miles and hour and with all the Jakes in the rev counter sat at 1600 revs. Now that's a buzz.

I have read Neil that to fit the larger front brakes you need the larger rims, 18 inch I think. There is evidently not enough room behind them if they are smaller. Is that correct?

Quite right David 18" wheels required , ZT-T 180 came supplied with 18" grid spokes (not my favourite) but I believe "some" 17" wheels will accommodate the 190 calipers.
