Default HELP!! my ZT wont start after a little work

Hi Guys.

I have just had the battery off my ZT for an hour or so while I did some work. I fitted the cruise control switches to the steering wheel, while I was there I fitted the message centre instrument panel and the indicator stalk to match.

I reconnected the battery and when to start the car but all it is doing is turning over like normal but not igniting. the car was running perfectly normal yesterday and before I did the work this morning.

anyone able to help??

Thank you

It could be coincidental, and then I would look at the fuel filter top coming off (unscrewing).

Otherwise maybe you have shorted something?

In case like this, first establish what is missing, spark or fuel.

Probably not causing the non starting, but I don't think you can just swap IPK's over without an error. T4 expert needed.

Also check that fuel is getting to the engine by checking pressure at the valve between throttle body and upper inlet manifold.

Unplug one of your fuel lines and then crank to see if you have any fuel reaching the engine.

Thank you all. I will try them all tomorrow when its light.

Typhoon - I changed the IPK back to the original one when it didn't start to see if it made any difference. it didn't.

Would changing the IPK and stalk cause the Fuel Tank Separation?

My ZT is a early 2001 does that suffer with FFS? I have read around that there was a redesign during 2001.

The new IPK won't prevent the car from starting although the mileage will show an error message after a few miles if you don't get it coded to your car via T4.

No. 16 of only 52 Nocturne Blue 75/ZT ever produced. ONLY TEN of these were ZT 190+

The only way to know in a 2001 model is to look at the filter cap. The 'safe' version has two lifting loops on top.

This is Xpart's photo of the later module with FOC fitting/fitted.
