Default My Radio Can't Decide on 4:3 or 16:9

As above. Ever since I fitted the BMW head unit with the larger monitor my car has struggled to decided on what screen ratio to use. For example Just this morning it came on at 16:9 and stayed like that until I got to our local Sainsburys. On the way back however it reverted to 4:3. Am I to understand that only the BMW TV receiver can accommodate permanent 16:9, or do I have another problem?

Also quick off-topic question - can the MK3 sat nav computer be used to change the startup logo from BMW to Rover, or do I need to upgrade to the MK4?

Hi David the Rover MkIII cant be used to alter the splash screen although I believe the BM MKIII can but the MKIV is a very good upgrade with software available to update your screen. The problem with your screen size is down to the T.V. tuner it should be replaced with a 16:9 tuner there should be plenty available on the likes of ebay.
