As much as I would like a 385 I would sooner go for one of Brian Luti's efforts; cheaper and even more power! Plus he has a wealth of knowledge about the set up. Oh, iirc the quad cams didn't fit in the engine bay Keith, they did go in the coupe thing though.

Any interest in yours yet Keith? By the way I had a Stag for 15 years. Think I've still got a bag of new bits buried at rear of garage.

The car was originally built for John Edwards who was the marketing director (so called) of MG Rover. Was just another to add to his fleet!
I met another of his V8's a couple of weeks ago at the Oxfordshire MG event. This was a Bittersweet ZT260SE with monogram seats & the sidesill & rear bumper extensions fitted. I asked the owner if I could buy it. lol |

As for the stag I have, it is shall we say a bit of a long term project, I have nicknamed it scam (some components are missing) as that is a fairly good description of what I bought. I might not go ahead with the work needed as it could be a money pit, I just have fond memories of the one we used to use in 1978. It might be cheaper to buy one with the work already done and use the one I have as a cheap source of parts but that would mess up the ZTT 260 fund |
