Default Stop leak sealer spray

Anyone tried stop leak spray in their boot? I'm thinking of stripping the boot out spraying this under the rear screen, where the side trim clips come through and seams etc. Then put all the boot carpet etc back.

Default Boot water leak

Hi, I had a water leak in my R75 saloon. What I found was that when the cars were made there is a point where the seams are joined at the bottom of the corner of the rear window where they omit to put enough sealant. The water was running down from here along underneath the edge of the boot opening and dropping down. It first looks like the boot hinges could be leaking or the seal where the panels join near the hinges. I found out the location by using big green paper towel from a roll. I screwed sheets up and taped them under the edge of the boot and pushed screwed up sheets up into the corner of the boot below the edge of the rear windsreen. I did try to put some sealant on the outside of the bottom of the rear screen seal but this did not do the trick. I had to put silicone on the end of a lolly stick and push it up into the seam from inside the boot.
Curiously, I had a similar problem with a Montego I had years ago. It was 6 moths old when I bought it and found the boot leaking. Similar problem with a bit of mastic missing in the far corner of the boot where the wing panel met the cross member below the rear window.

Drilled a couple of 1/4" diameter holes in each of my ZTs boot floors after checking for safety each time that nothing underneath could be hit by the drill. Result is dry boot floor wells. Not sophisticated but seems to work.
