Hi Mike. You are correct. As I was reading this post I thought why do you want to introduce water to somewhere you are trying to keep very dry? I know somewhere on here, there are pics of the inside of our sills, I think it was either Ceedy, Stocktake or another one of the ‘mob’ who had a sill in bits for some reason, and it showed all the packing inside, along with the sections. The only way to rustproof inside the sills in my humble opinion is to pump a load of Waxoyle after it has been heated in a bucket of boiling hot water, until it drips out. You need a 360 degree lance to do this. Never put water in , unless you want them to rot even quicker.

Sounds like a logical plan.
Wait until mid summer, and after a dry spell when hopefully it will have dried as much as possible inside.
