Default R.i.p

I shall be going to mark my respect to an good friend which i have known for over 12 years and we have some good times when we went caravaning together R.I.P MY OLD FRIEND.
I have just spoken to Lilian and she told me no flowers but if you want to make donation you can make them to the hospice were Derek was.
The date of the funeral will take place on the 11th of January at 10.45 at Aldershot Crem but more details will follow after Christmas.
She thanks you all for the support that you have shown for Derek

Thank you Brian for clarifying Lilian’s wishes. I appreciate you were very close.
Here is a link to the hospice donation page.

I am not flying to London until 20 January, my apologies

Hopefully members going to his funeral will be reasonably dressed. I don’t think it’s too much to ask. I have been to a few members funeral where others have turned up looking slovenly. Something Derek would never have done.

It is truly heartbreaking news to hear of Derek's passing. He was one of a kind, a gentleman in the very truest sense of the word. We will not see his like again.

The World and this forum will be a poorer place without Windrush, the elder statesman of the club, loved and respected by all who met him. A gentleman and, a gentle man. Our deepest condolences go out to Lilian and his family.

Rest in peace Derek, I salute you Sir.

I was just thinking....on the club home page, instead of displaying the various members cars, maybe we can display a picture of Derek and his car for a short while...? Just an idea...

Default collection for Windrush and Lillian

I hope to be there but It may not be possible for me to attend. I will try my hardest to be there, but if cannot make it, it will not be for want of trying. In this case please accept my sincere apologies and condolences.
