Sadly not when you are a freelancer like me and a day turned down when offered is a day less pay for the household. Currently I only have 7 days work in January.

I myself would very much like to attend, but that Thursday and Friday I have potentially been booked subject to confirmation.

If I can make it, I will certainly try.

I am so sorry to hear our much loved member Derek (Windrush) has passed, I have only just found out as I have been poorly with the flu and really in no fit state to use the computer.
My wife and I offer our condolences to Lillian and their family for our sad loss, sorry due to may domestic situation I will not be able to attend the funeral, but I am pleased so many members are representing our club that he gave a lot of his love and time to.

Somewhat a belated message from me as I have been ill myself.

I never met Windrush but did have a few conversations with him, you will be very much missed.

My sincerest condolences go out to Lilian, family and friends, R.I.P Derek.

Does it matter who is going, the club will be well represented, we who will attend will be there to pay our last farewell to a respected gentleman who helped make this club what it is, by welcoming new members, both Derek and Lilian made my wife and I most welcome to the extent of being good friends and wanting to be with us whenever we went to meets, so don’t worry who is going. We will give him a good send off.
