Midlands Meet - Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds Sunday 14th November 2010
Having just confirmed with Bruntingthorpe today, I am pleased to confirm a meeting at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds & Cold War Jet Collection on Sunday 14th of November 2010.
This will, I hope be a good gathering in an interesting location. There are some terrific aircraft there and hopefully some good photo opportunites and lots of space. More information on Brunthingthorpe can be found here: http://www.bruntingthorpe.com/aircraft-museum.htm Also, I've arranged for a Parade Lap at the end of the meet around their high speed circuit. Cost wise, it's £5 per paying adult (kids under 16 are free) will try to arrange a discount (will be depending on the numbers attending I think they'll say!) It's been some time since I have been there, so awaitng some info about amenities. To keep it simple I am going to arrange this as an unoffical meet, because of the lap element. I am aiming to get there for around 1030 - I believe the Convoy being lead by Wg Cdr Woolleysox is arriving around 11ish Drop your name down if interested. Usual Club Stuff: Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way. (P.s. the old thread will be changed to meet ideas - please post away on that!) 01) J1MBO 02) Stubie 03) Starbug2 04) Woolleysox 05) RichardGarner 06) Trebor 07) Basil 08) Russell Brown 09) Number Six 10) Stu C 11) Mannie 12) JakeW89 13) Zeb 14) Backoboy 15) Bernard LPG 16) Stal108 17) StewB 18) WIDE LOAD 19) ProtoZT 20) Devilish 21) eddiesnow 22) AndyG 23) John B 24) Ian Maw 25) Lowey 260 26) D Evans 27) Max260 28) Mr Edd 29) MrTomez 30) Tony_Fry 31) Spongebob 32) Roving Dennis 33) Typhoon 190 34) JohnWH74 35) John Ball Possibles 1) Ragman 2) Colintf 3) Morrisfan 4) John Newey 5) Wolves 75 6) Keith Ok the convoy Proposed route of Convoy to Bruntingthorpe meet 14th Nov 2010 START: KFC 9.00 AM WS28RL Leave m6 at J10 turn towards Walsall turn right at first set of lights. Bruntingthorpe Update
Had an e-mail today from the Director of Bruntingthorpe, just confirming a few details. He has confirmed that as far as facilities are concerned, there are loos and that's it.
What I'd like to find out is if after the meet and parade lap, people would be interested in driving to a nearby location if a bite to eat - buffet style event was arranged? Best, Jake |

A buffet is ok at a wedding etc when it is free, but up for anything.
