Cool 2005 ‘05’ 75 Tourer 2.0 CDTi Automatic (160) Connoisseur SE ***NOW SOLD***

For sale, my father’s much-loved 75 Tourer.

Finished in Firefrost Red with late double-piper black leather in excellent condition, and including embossed headrests:

Exterior:
The paintwork is in generally fantastic condition, having had an expensive respray on the passenger side due to lacquer peel (not just a cheap blow-over) in 2017. The bumpers are not perfect but look good polished. Also fitted with torpedoes with the engine designation, and chrome door handle protectors. Additionally has a sunroof which doesn’t leak. Fitted with very rare and expensive facelift rear mudflaps. Finally, it has a recently fitted fixed tow bar which has only pulled a small trailer a handful of times. Unfortunately, it is going to need rear suspension arms for its next MOT.
Fitted with Meteor alloys currently with brand new rear tyres fitted this week, which will be included at the right price. Otherwise will be sold on Unions with tyres which will need replacement in near future.

Interior:
Fitted with double piped late black leather seats, complete with embossed front headrests from an earlier car. Also fitted with a plastic walnut dashboard, nice aftermarket radio. Has the usual heated, electric front seats with memory, and cruise control. Fully operational sunroof too. In the boot it still has the load cover which is so often missing. One of the cleanest tourer interiors I’ve seen in recent years!

Mechanically: Has been waxoyled regularly, and never abused in Dad’s ownership.
Has got a 160 remap, full stainless steel exhaust system with a decat, and has had a brand new Corteco pulley fitted in the last few days. Auto box has had fluid change in the last few years and changes perfectly. My father is meticulous and the car has always had whatever it had needed as soon as it’s needed it. Its had a lot of money spent on it in recent years, including two professionally reconditioned injectors, a MAF around 2.5 years ago, droplinks, etc. It’s also had new springs all round. Unfortunately under heavy loads it has started to vibrate quite a bit which is undiagnosed but was thought to perhaps be the pulley. It’s always been serviced on the correct intervals too.

Overall, it’s a really lovely car which generally belies its 215,000 miles, and with new suspension arms, and the issue under load resolved would provide many years of brisk and comfortable motoring. Only selling to replace with a 50,000 mile V6 example.

For photos please PM me and I’ll send you them via email or WhatsApp.

MOT until 1st December 2020.

Looking for £625 ONO with Meteors fitted.

Viewings will be by appointment and unaccompanied as my parents will be staying out of the way while you view the car. If I had the spare time I’d take it on myself.

Car is located just outside Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway.

Meant to add, has the usual chrome skullcap mirrors. Also when the horrible light oak interior was removed, a black contemporary steering wheel and airbag were fitted.
Also has full-size spare wheel (meteor)

I can include photos if anyone can tell me how to do them? I’ve completely forgotten!

To answer a couple of questions:

1.) It’s had the PCV filter done a couple of times in his ownership.

2.) The stainless steel exhaust is a really good quality one and not a noisy one.

Quick update, the car should be on its original plates by tomorrow afternoon for anyone who’s expressed an interest.

Car needs to go by 30 November.

£400. It is no longer insured, so the buyer must arrange their own. ABS light is on which is the sensor for the Speedo also.

Quotes for scrap and zero hassle are £250, so no silly offers.

Happy to provide photos of the car. Note the radio is now the original. Not willing to take the car for pre-MOT tests or anything like that as the space is needed, and it’s a cheap car.

For Covid-safe sale, payment is via bank transfer. Car can be viewed any time.
