Default remote battery

my battery in my key is just about dead so needs changing,can anyone give me a clue how to get in the fob and advise if i have a time limit to change the battery before info is lost, or have to perform some ignition based ritual to re program it...thx for any info

Very easy to do....

Take the key off your key ring.

If you look at it from the back, you'll see a slot in the key ring loop. Use a broad blade to pop the back off.

Change battery, snap the back piece, back on

Return to key ring.

Job done.

Here's the info straight from the handbook. There's no time limit for battery replacement.


You need the CR2032 cell battery. About a fiver apiece from the local main agent or ten a penny (almost) from eBay. See here for examples: http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/sear...satitle=cr2032
