Default This weeks idiot award goes to Dacman

Hello all,

This really takes the biscuit. Spent a few days down in Warwick with SWMBO and the kids. On the first day we went to Gaydon Motor museum which i really enjoyed, a couple of tasty 75's in there.
Once we finished that we decided to have a picnic in the car, so i switched the TV on to quieten the kids. MMM Tomato soup, sandwiches and sweets i knew SWMBO had her uses. We quickly tidyed the car and SWMBO said ooo the tv screen has gone off, funny i thought as there was still sound. You know whats coming next. CLICK CLICK CLICK as i tryed to start the car. Testicles a flat battery . Kak no jump leads, so a quick call to the AA and we were off again. What a complete divvy.

Let the abuse begin

Okay then, I'll hurl abuse at you!

Seriously, it happens to the best of us. Hope it didn't completely ruin the day for you.

Yep, I've done that.
The TV does seem very greedy though ?

Depending on the parts you have on Board the TV/DVD will run for about 50 Min's to 90 Min's or more,
before showing signs you need the Engine running again to re charge a normally Good battery.
The newer Units 16:9 Screen, MK4 Computer, BM24 or BM54 Radios, Digital TV Tuner and 16:9 TV Tuner all consume less current so can be run for much Longer.

If I remember correctly, someone had to have a jump start at the Haynes Museum meet for exactly the same reason. Anyone going to own up to that!

Another reason for banning food inside the car. When I was reading the 1st post, I was fearing at first that there was going to be tomato soup all over the place ...
Glad it was sorted at the end
