Default 2005 Rover Streetwise X-Power Grey - Immaculate £999 - Now Sold

An auto engineer came to look at the car. He like it, but discovered that the power for the passenger door, the horn and the rear fog light had be rerouted straight from the battery and therefore there are problems with the BCU. As it had only five weeks left of the MOT I accepted his offer of £900 cash. He was happy and in these Covid19 times, money is tight so i'm happy. This is the last Rover I own now, after owning constantly for the last 15 years. Quite emotional. Thanks to you all for the help over the years. Especially a big shout out to big Ed.

I am selling my eldest son’s 85,000 mile 2004 Rover Streetwise. I have bought him a BMW 116i SE for his 21st birthday. He has had the Streetwise for very nearly two years, as I bought it for his 19th birthday, and it has been 100% reliable and he has enjoyed using it for university. But he is now about to embark upon a career in filming and needs a newer car. I bought the car originally because of my love of Rovers. I have owned an SDi, four Rover 25’s, one Rover 45, three Rover 75’s and an MG ZT190SE. The Rover Streetwise is in the beautiful X-Power Grey, as was my MG ZT. The best ever Rover colour in my opinion. The car has done 85,000 miles and is tight in the clutch, gears and brakes. The mechanicals are all perfect. It has receipts for regular servicing up to 84,000 miles. I have done an oil service this week for the new buyer using fully synthetic oil and an oil filter. The paintwork is spotless, as is all the plastic parts, ie. wheel arches, bumpers etc. I put in a new top of the range battery for him just as the lockdown started. As I knew he wouldn’t be using the car much during lockdown. He has in fact only driven it 86 miles in three months. I fitted a brand new starter motor on it six months ago as it appeared to be a little sluggish and I didn’t want him to experience problems during the winter. the alloys are in excellent condition and there is plenty of life in the tyres. It has had only three former keepers. I have the V5, The original Manual and Service Book and a Haynes Manual and all the MOTs ever and some servicing receipts. the car comes with a complete toolkit and an unused spare.

IMPORTANT: The head gasket and water pump were changed and the car was serviced on 14th Sept 2017 for £639.86

This car is in exceptional conditional condition for a 16 year old car. I would prefer the car to be sold to a fellow Rover enthusiast like myself. I sold my younger son’s Rover 25 to a member, Spongebob from Wales in April and he can testify to the quality of the car and my honesty. Please message me for details about the car and to arrange a viewing free from commitment in Ruislip. Mike (MGmike) I have just washed the car etc, and found that the passenger door window is not working. The car has not moved during lock down and it might be a gremlin. The car had air-con, so not a problem. Hence now, £999. No offers please. I can't go lower than that.
