Esther Dingley
Hi, I’ve been following this story since Esther went missing last year. It’s been confirmed that the remains found were hers. I don’t understand what could have gone wrong, she was well capable of descending to the road head from the summit. It was good weather and she was an experienced hiker. Years ago I went up that way by myself in wet weather with some visibility problems. I went through the port onto the Spanish side then exited via another port to return to the car park on the French side. If she had kept to the path there was no danger in good weather. We probably will never know what went wrong, it’s such a tragedy.

It is a tragedy, and with the limited evidence discovered, litte hope of a proper closure for her loved ones.
