Looks great Dawn. Clayed mine for the first time last year and was very satisfied with the result

For tyres, I like Autoglym Rubber Plus. The downside is that it is only available in 5 litre cans, at about £35, but a can lasts about 2 years even for my large fleet, and can be painted on quickly (about 20 seconds per tyre). It looks likje new rubber, not over glossy and does protect the rubber from uv rays.

Tried Autoglym high performance tyre gel recently, looks great on and can give either gloss or matt finish depending on how you let it dry. Been on for a week so far so will see how it lasts but washing the car yesterday didn't seem to take any of the "blackness"away.

Hi Dawn.
Great work, she looks brilliant. Hoping to see her in the flesh (metal ) as soon as we get the OK to get the Nanos up and running again. Take care, stay safe. Andy. PS Cliff, you're not alone to find claying (and waxing) theraputic. |

I have a feeling we have a bit of a wait for meets yet. I was looking forwards to the one at East Kirkby, but I doubt that is going ahead now. I enjoyed working on the car, but feels a waste when I can't take her out! |

I think this quote fits the bill:

I never really put much heed to any tyre shine, if it is raining and the car is used in it, nothing I find lasts in terms of shine or sheen (you can buff it off to leave it with a more matt finish).
All I can say is it lasts as long as the AG vinyl and rubber care both on tyres and under bonnet. It darkens the tyre wall, and gives it that soft new look. I use it roughly every fortnight, after every wash of the car, as it only involves a quick spray (4 or 5) per tyre and leave it. As a result my tyres always look quite new and dark even when due for replacement, if that makes sense?

Another 5 hours on the Toyota today! The finish is brilliant. ☺ Alan tells me rhe polish is Autoglym. Will be getting more of that! And the strawberry wax. Very easy to work. ☺
