You think, a flat out V8 especially a Supercharged one will easily attain single figures if you bury the throttle into the carpet through every gear. Rear tyres don’t last long either

"Theoretically" they will speak to a T4 but it's a wee bit hit and miss, some don't, some like mine will after being battered into submission!

Re the Ford engine, there's an additional ECU (Gateway ECU) which connects the Ford engine with the rest of the electrics.

As a matter of interest - does the V8 use a T4? I would have assumed as it's a Ford engine it would be either Forscan, or maybe just regular OBD2?

I would check the timing! You can time these up 180 deg out and they will still run.

The 75 V8s were auto but the 260s were manual. That's not to say there isn't a 260 or two going around with the autobox from a 75 in it . . . . haven't heard of any though.

I believe it lives in the land down under Dawn, I seem to recall someone (Maybe Wyn) Had an unfinished auto v8 zt, although I might be imagining it as it was many years ago now..
