Default 75 Boot Light (Saloon)

As a new forum member, I’d like to express my thanks to fellow members for their superb advice and guidance which has allowed me to successfully undertake the following jobs in my 2003 CDTI (bought for a mere £350):
- changed air filter
- cleaned EGR
- replaced headlight bulbs (moderate swearing) and polished lenses
- sorted airbag connection
- changed MAF and PCV filter
With the last one, I discovered that the grommet between the turbo unit and MAF connector pipe was missing, so that was also replaced. The difference in power now is incredible. Special thanks go to Artic for his brilliant illustrated ‘how to’s’!
I now trying to re-ignite the boot light. Does anyone know the whereabouts of a switch or is it controlled by the BCU? The car is a saloon.
Thanks in advance,
Murray

Ok ill ask it, have you checked the bulb holder for 12v?.

If the answer to what Ronnie asked is yes, and the answer to my question is no. Then you can find out where the fault lies, or if it were me, I would splice into the rear cabin light, and run new wires to the boot light, and fit a decent LED boot light

Nothing voltage-wise on the bulb contacts. Interior lighting working as normal.
Thanks

That's rated as a 'Moderate' to 'Strong' swearing job.
