rover 75 lower engine mount problem
Removing the lower mount today and the engine dropped and moved forwards slightly ( despite being jacked up)
This now means I cannot get the new mount to fit, its about 1/2 inch out. I've tried using a trolley jack to move the engine back but when I do everything moves. I worry that I'm now NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- and without some serious heavy lifting gear I'll not be able to refit the mount Any advice would be welcome Cheers Paul |

When you removed the mount did you have the car in neutral ? if not that why its dropped a little but do not worry, all you need to do is put the car in neutral now, you will be bale to move the engine into place and the mount will line up. The car must be in neutral be-it an Auto or a manual gearbox before taking the mount off the car otherwise you will feel the engine drop a little cheers Arctic.
