Default Do the good ones ever come up for sale?!

Hi all,

(If this is not general chat please feel free to move)

Why do all the good ones come up when I'm not looking, and when I am, they all disappear

I'm looking for a 75 Tourer or ZTT but all I can find are pretty ratty ones, needing work or not having been loved. A 1.8t or diesel would be perfect, thank you, with sunroof but appreciate beggers can't be choosers

I've been looking at XF Estates but in reality, I really want an MGR to keep long long term. This is probably more of an 'I'm coming to the end of my tether' this this search, but heck, what have I got to lose!

Anyway, if anyone knows of one, please let me know. Distance isn't a problem (I'm based in Henley on Thames)

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Well mine will be coming up soon. Wouldn't cal it ratty, but has been much loved. With Webasto fitted sunroof. 170K miles but pretty well everything works. You can see it here (no. 6 in Burgundy:https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...light=calendar. I'd be very happy to keep it but came across another with only 60K on the clock: too good to miss.

Cheers folks! I'm looking for the nicest one and nicest spec I can find (within reason and limited timescale) as I'll be holding onto this one...

The sky blue car in Lancashire (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176251055...Bk9SR5auv6e6Yw) is lovely, but an auto

I looked at that one - looks fantastic, but i already have too many! Don't be put off by the auto box - you can drive it as a manual if you must, but it is smooth and generally reliable.

Automatic transmission is wonderful Jeremy; relaxing, smooth and no worrying about leaking slave cylinders or expensive clutch renewals!

I'm not sure what coolguy means when he says "you can drive it as a manual" because individual ratios cannot be selected. Positions 2, 3 & 4 simply limit the range available but automatic changes within these positions will still take place and cannot be overridden.

Patience is a virtue, although my young labrador is getting bigger, faster and my TF is becoming a bit small for the both of us

Good luck with yours too!
