got a opportunity to buy a 2012 xf jaguar diesel 2.2 at a good price so one of our 4 Rover 75s may have to go.
Anyone know much about 2012 xf jags ? Things to watch out for.? Its done about 100,000 km but in excellent condition. |

No personal experience, but friends who have them say the 2.2 diesel is underpowered for the size and weight of the car. The 2.7 diesel is one to avoid, but the 3.0 is just as economic as the 2.7. Not trying to put you off, but do test its acceleration to make sure it is sufficient for you!

Got a 3.0d portfolio s. Over 44mpg regularly on a run. Average around 40 mpg mixed driving. 275bhp 600nm torque. Best £1800 I've spent on a car. Still love my zt and 75 though.

I just sold our 2010 3.0 v6 diesel xf, it was a cracking drive plenty torque and decent mpg.
If you’ve never driven the 3.0 then the 2.2 will feel quick enough it’s a bit noisy and less refined but it’s still a good car

600nm or torque on a gearbox rated for 600nm of torque . No remaps for you then Bit odd that their numbers are exactly what the gearbox is rated to . Still, the ZF boxes are solid and can even be remapped for faster gear changes and improved shift points. My E61 has a ZF box .

If you bought the XF 3.0d s Portfolio at that price, (normally costs that just for the 20" wheels and Tyres) then you must have got the bargain of the century, I am currently about to upgrade my XF for a newer model, an XF 3.0d S Portfolio with 300 bhp, in Italian Racing Red Stu Last edited by Fusilier; 11th September 2020 at 10:05.. |
