Default Rover 75 CDTI 3rd to 2nd gear?

I find myself asking a question again, I only ever seem to check the forum when I have issues....which isn't often with my car.

I have a 2004 Rover 75 2.0ltr CDTI with 320,000kms under it's belt. I have already swapped the gearbox when 2nd gear became impossible to select and now a similar issue has arisen.

The car goes up through the gears without a problem, however it's become impossible to go from 3rd to 2nd unless virtually stationary. Is this a sign of the synchro going again? The clutch bite is low on it's travel and I wondered if bleeding the clutch might remedy it.

Any suggestions greatfully received.
