Default Photos from the Lakeland Motor Museum Meet 14.08.11 (Pic Heavy)

Good afternoon all!!!

What a very pleasant day out, and plenty of photos to show for it, tho not the best as I am no photomawassit.

Met up with Ronnie (Suzublu) in Wolsingham and we had a very scenic journey to Rheged through the hills, the highlight of which was climbing up into the very clouds themselves and back down again. If time had been on our side, it would have been an excellent photo op.

Got to Rheged actually ahead of schedule (hindsight is always 20/20), but BlueJon was already there, playing in the wooden fort.

Not long after we got there, Paul (Scouse1958) arrived, and a little while later saw Ian turn up (Brush1).

Toilet breaks abounded, and then it was time for the off....until we realised we were missing one Scouse1958. Popped to the toilet was the verdict - which excused the first 10 minutes of the delay, the subsequent 35 minutes got a bit worrying culminating in a tannoy announcement.

Still no Scouse1958 - search parties were sent out and returned empty handed until the burger van was located and it transpired that the lure of a sausage sandwich had captived Scouse1958 too much and he had been waiting patiently in line while we were getting ready to leave him behind.

So - about an hour behind schedule (hang your head in shame Paul!!) - we departed and a little convoy made its way to the Museum, with the lead swapping a couple of times due to some exuberant overtaking ....(guilty m'lud).

The Museum had some reserved parking for us at the side of the building which was great, and apart from BlueJon trying to jump his car down a concrete step, all parked up and the photos began...sadly I am much too young to have owned or driven any of the cars in the museum but I went around with Suzublu and Freebyrd and between them they notched up an impressive tally - I think their eyes were glazing over with nostalgia...either that or their blood sugar was low.

Anyway - photos!!

Excellent pictures - it was a really good day out. My pictures are very similar but Ross got one of a very shiny engine!

Look forward to meeting you all again soon
