Cool Update on Banana

Today was our first long run, after having the new throttle body fitted by Matt Darke aka Cable Tie.

A round trip of 168 miles and she never missed a beat, pulled like the proverbial train. Best was on the homeward run was coming up Haldon Hill on the A38, 69.9mph all the way up the hill with plenty left under the pedal, might have just gone over Warp Factor 3 by a whisker.

We attended the Charity Classic Car meet at Haslebury Mill in Somerset, the other side of Crewkerne. We went with the Coffee & Cars group from Newton Abbot, and they are all forum members. We even had another forum member join us with his Mirage Blue MG ZTT 260. The charity that benefits from the meet is the Motor Neurone Disease.

Many thanks to all the help supplied by this club ranging from the verbal advice from Dave Lincs & MarinaBrian, parts from Trikey and a HUGE THANK YOU to Matt Darke for all his work carried out on the car.

So The Flying Banana is back to her old self.
