Over heated - oil/coolant mix
So. I have 3 x ZT-T 190's.
My Typhoon has been off the road since last year. Coolant in oil in small amounts for several years, but never got any worst until last March when she stuffed a over a litre in the oil over a few miles, causing the front bank lambda sensor to throw a wobbly. Project trophy blue car put on the road until May this year when she was taken out by a prestige rental that left the scene. Just needed to replace the ABS modulator until she was reversed into at the weekend. Bought a Firefrost to keep me mobile whilst the steering rack on the Trophy blue car was refurbished and replaced. Looks like it's had sealant put into the coolant. I've tried flushing it out numerous times over the past weeks, but it was obviously added for a reason. Coolant not flowing through the system properly, and mixing in both expansion tank and under the oil cap. First course of action is to bypass the oil cooler to see if it's terminal or not. I've enjoyed owning ZT's for over 12 years but it's hard work staying enthused sometimes. |
