I'm amazed that so many of the OEM ones have broken. I don't think it will be a problem with the new ones though as they seem so much less brittle.
Not sure about that Paul I think it depends on what is slid across the Boot floor as the carpet compresses they just get sheered off my 2004 260 has lost three and my CDT all four I reckon someone ordering 100 will get shot of them very quickly

Now - I wonder if they do those clips which hold the door-way footplates in place
I was thinking exactly the same thing but I could not see anything suitable on their site I wonder if they could produce a pattern part made from something less brittle.

Still well worth it to maintain the OEM look IMO. I would certainly have had a set if circumstances had been different.

Keith, Ive nodoubt they would be able to but if I recall from the days when I did real engineering and not just reporting to management how late the product is because we have no engineers anymore, then the tooling charges were quite expensive. I am sure that other plastic clip type manufacturers will do something suitable, it's just tracking them down.

Got them thanks Paul
Near identical to the originals, now to do some destruction testing to see how they hold up.

They seem to fit closer together compressing the carpet a bit more so hopefully things will not catch them so easily which is why I think they break off

I snipped the excess stud length off as well in case any weight in the boot causes them to be pushed up

Thanks for letting me know Keith

It seems that everybody got them today. Not bad service as I only sent them yesterday afternoon.

Smile Offer..to pick up and post

Hi

I checked the web site and there is a moss plastics depot 20 miles from me (brighton) in Uckfield.

As soon as weather clears - and assuming they are happy to sell me the required no of clips, I would be happy to go there pick up a batch of clips and post on to members - for no more than the cost of the clips and postage.

As long as someone can confirm exactly what I should ask for

Everyone here is so helpful - it';'s the least I can do (apart from pay for them and fit them to your car myself

I will check the thread next week and see if anyone wants any......

Matt-brighton

Edit .... ooops I just saw an earlier post - someone has already offered to do this and got a price to supply x4 delivered - sorry !

Matt
