The problem you have is not what the car is worth, but what people will pay.
Your car looks well worth 1200, if not more, but for some reason, you just can't sell these cars for what they're worth.
People will happily buy a rough zt/75 for 4-500, and then spend the same on a clutch and the same again on belts, but will they spend 12-1500 on a zt/75 in good condition that's had clutch and belts done? No chance!
Me personally, I love a bargain, but would much rather spend a higher price on a well looked after car that needs nothing doing to it, rather than an old banger with no history and dents and scratches all over it.
I had a car for sale on here at the end of last year, everyone told me it's easily worth 17-1800, ended up selling it for 1100! If I hadn't needed to sell it then it wouldn't have gone so low, but after a month of advertising it, that was the only serious offer I had!
I've just got hold of a new zt 190, it's the first car to be painted in celestial, just had the belts and clutch done a month ago, in really good condition, but it has a small dent behind the fuel cap, and a small scuff on the passenger side rear arch. It was up for 1000 for over a month, and the guy couldn't sell it. I swapped my MK2 zt cdti for it. It going to cost around 500 to get the bits sorted, but once done, it will honestly be one of the best condition zts I've seen, and I wouldn't let it go for less than 2000! But would anyone pay that for a zt190? Doubtful! 😁
If you're not in a huge rush to sell it, then keep advertising it here and on other places like gumtree, eBay and the Facebook groups. Someone will come along and snap it up if it's what they're looking for

I paid £1400 for mine from Spencer on here, used to be owned by Gary before that....

Has so much done to it and still only went for cheap... its a shame really as these are so much car for the money.
Its hard selling one to an entusiast as most people on here already have one and know what they want to pay.
Selling cars in general is a pain in the ass, i much prefer dealer PX as its easy and simple.
I've sold a few to members and a few bits and things but i wont do it again

Its a car that's clearly been looked after and had money spent on it with nice mods. I'm amazed you can't sell it as its better than many for sale. When people start new threads in next week or months asking if prices are rising then please read this thread as clearly they are not!

True, but im one of those wierd folk who gets seriously attached and finds it very hard to get rid.
I'd rather spend money sorting it out then sell it.

Why not just keep it as a second car, classic insurance etc
