That is a good match. Quite what possessed MGR to change to technical grey finish I don't know, I don't particularly like it. I replaced my dashboard with a colour coded one, as per the monogram range option. I think it looks much better, also an excuse to fit the better PPD metal backed one.

With you there, I do prefer the technical finish in he ZT than the same finish in the MK2 ZS for some reason, I think the curves in the ZT work better than the mostly flat features on the ZS dash in technical. Yep colour coded is definitely better and will be in plans further down the line.

I went for Copperleaf in my Firefrost although I still need to paint the radio 'eyebrow'

That’s really nice, lifts the looks of the dash a lot

Copperleaf was the monogram colour dashboard. It's a lovely colour, shame they never did it on the Mk2, they obviously went for Firefrost (which I happen to like a lot and was the reason I chose the car I did).

Default Tourer rain leak into rear

Had a go at finding where rain gets into drivers side rear corner of Tourer today. It drips onto where factory fitted sat nav drive sits in cubby hole. Thought i'd look behind plastic tailgate hinge cover piece as had seen on site the mastic between spot welded panels sometimes cracks and rain water gets in. Of course, all the plastic locating tangs of cover snapped off flush when I removed it ! But did find three tiny holes in mastic on drivers side and one on passenger side. Scraped mastic away and resealed with TigerSeal. Removed broken plastic tangs and metal inserts from the plastic bungs, stuck bungs back into their holes in car and refitted plastic hinge cover with screws screwed into the bungs. Will replace shiny screws with mat black screws at some point. Now just need some steady rain to see if i've fixed leak

Got the "new" steering wheel (re-trimmed by Royal Steering Wheels) fitted to my 75 today.

Getting near finished with the interior re-trim now, but still a bit of work to get all finished out. Got the new Alpine 178BT fitted and the sub is now working ok (thanks to Alan/clf ). Steering wheel controls not playing ball, but I can live without those for the time-being

Only had a cheap camera for the photos

Cheers,
Karl.
