Everything was tactile friendly and so much easier to use when driving.

I would LOVE to convert to a manual system - dual zone would be nice and look better but the reality is for me that the climate control is the very worst design flaw on our otherwise fantastic cars.
Yup, definitely agree with all of that

Pity it’s such an endeavour to swap them around

Karl.

Personally I prefer the ATC. I leave mine in auto, set at 22° and balance the comfort level with the heated seats and fresh air bypass to the face vents.

Ferrying around SWMBO a lot, it’s rare that any one setting can be retained for long in my car! Which means regular adjustments are required. And I just think the dials would be handier.

But, fair enough. Different strokes and all..

Karl.

You are converting a single zone manual to dual zone are you not Mike?

If so then yes I'd be interested this would save me a bit of work, and if I'm honest, the manual dials suit an old duffer like me

Having bottled-it with this job before when I had the carpet out, I'd certainly be curious to see how it's done.

Although, I'm not sure I could bring myself to tear the whole interior out all over again.. 😕

Cheers,
Karl.

That's exactly what I have planned, I've done the comparison and I know which parts I need to swap. If you want to do the same you'll need a spare control for the other knob and the short cable that goes to the left side flap. The job should take a few hours and I'll post pictures later in the week, I'm also planning another small mod to the heater that'll get people talking!

Default First part done....

I've done the control panel and fitted the cables to it, I'm now on with the heater box itself and it's going well. I think it looks quite nice!
