Ukraine/Russia/global warming...?

Misspelling possibly? Shouldn't that one 'm' be an 'n'?

Mr. Putin would not chance his arm(y) against the rest of the world. It's one-upmanship and whoever blinks first loses. Even Germany, with it's massive reliance on Russian gas has cut of Nordic 1 stream. It's his career he's thinking about and nearly at end of it - the Kremlin is rife with plots. Russia is mighty, but against USA, UK, EU? He would not get it past the politburo. Watch for the cliff edge and a gradual climb down whilst attempting to save face.

Agreed, but is it Ukraine, or the Ukrainian territories bordering on Ukraine and russia that are disputed?

Is this not how ww2 started out in 1938 and 39 with czecheslovakia and poland, claiming them.to be part of Germany annexed after ww1?

Yes, the similarities are mind blowing.

1936 - 1939 ) Both countries are dictatorships with head of state running
) criminal gangster states (no independent media, state able
???? - 2022 ) to disappear people ect. ect. At least Hitler didn't use nerve
agents.

Both states nibbled at the outermost territorial boarders insisting all German/Russian speakers, with territory, come within the respective orbit.

If the Baltic states had not joined NATO we would have had a lot more annexing before Ukraine. We need to use 2022 as we did 1938 and re-build our forces and infrastructures (such as tank building and the like).

With our debt being 84% of GDP, the factories would probably have to be built with money borrowed from the Chinese. How would that fit strategically?

Being a naturalised (i.e. almost a) native of these lands, I will then have to go on an unnecessary panic buying spree for something else to empty the shelves.

When in Rome....etc.

Might be time to dust off those old 'Protect and Survive' leaflets and rehearse our 'Duck and Cover' procedures

Seriously though, very worrying for the people of Ukraine and the wider world.
