Rover Tomcats jazz band.
This pic was posted on the Rover Coupe Owners Club forum,project name of the 200 coupe being the Tomcat.Can anyone shed any light upon this group.I've no reason to think that they are linked to that particular model as the pic was taken circa 1988,five years before the coupe came into production.

The factory code number for the model series which the tomcat was based is R8 a long time before Audi used it.
I only found this out when I had my old "ninger" a 418 SLD JYJ |

I think that picture was taken after 1988, even though it says that on the website. I think early 90's. I suppose it depends on when the Rover Group rebranding occured. 1988 is about the changing point from ARG era.
I suspect 1991/1992, when the Tomcat would have been well under development, else why would they call the band that? |
