Hey everyone... it's been a while.
Just thought I'd make a post as I come towards the end of my MG Rover ownership.
I started with a 420SLDi, progressed to a 620ti and ended up with an MG ZT CDTi 135 (club mapped to 160). I enjoyed them all immensely. But sadly my ZT is close to the end. After 18 years and 172k miles, it's not likely to get through the MOT next year without quite a lot of expense. It barely scraped through this year. So I've started some early preparation to be ready to replace my car in a month or two. Took my private plate off the car onto a retention certificate, and put the old reg number back on. Got rinsed by the DVLA for £80 transfer fee, insurance company £30 to switch number, and Demon Plates £60 for new plates. But at least I am now all set for putting my private plate onto whatever car I end up buying. Probably going to be a BMW 430d. But I'll always have fond memories of my MGR cars.
