Rumour has it that a bad batch of springs found their way onto some 75s, and also BMWs of the same period.

Thanks for all these kind comments...allmost blushing!!The new springs have arrived from Rimmers( they gave me a small discount when I mentioned the club, nice one).When I am next off shift I'll have a crack at doing a similar thread when I change them.P.

this is interesting, the 2 old bearing races, they look o.k at first sight

BUT the inner one has a chip out of it, just next to the pencil...
That photo with the pencil is exactly the same as one we have removed from a ZTT today. Any ideas why this should happen?

Has anyone found the equivalent bearing races so that they can be replaced without having to buy the complete hub?

hi podge good pics on the bearing change ,but where did you get that torque wrench from ,ive only seen those at one place some years ago and have one just the same in my garage ....lol
