Default Clutch issue

Hi all, every time I press the clutch it makes a funny whining noise. The car seems to drive ok. The clutch is 9 years old so the bighting point is not that low but not to high to give me the impression that it needs a new clutch.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

It would appear that your release bearing is the culprit,If the noise happens when you press the clutch and goes when you release it then 99% the release bearing.

It is one of those situations where you have to remove the gear box to replace the thrust bearing/Slave cylinder so while you have it down it is advisable to replace the whole clutch at the same time.

As for cost it will depend where you go,There are Mobile people who do it or garages.Main dealer type place will be an arm and a leg.
I would suggest you ask for recommendations in you area.
