I've done the same with mine. It looks so much better alongside the darker bezels of the xenon headlights.

Default Tourer tail gate handle

I was able to finish the tourer tail gate handle yesterday in satin black also to match the front grill, only the chrome door torpedo to either remove to go satin black on those too.

Rover emblems removed from tail gate also.

I hit a pigeon with mine a few months ago and had to replace the grill (mk2) There was no plastic weld to deal with. the old grill unclipped and the new one clipped in.

FWIW, I wouldn’t do any more, to avoid what my dad would call, the ‘I bought some black paint, and I’ve got to use it all’ look.

Funny how fashions change, my base model company Maestro had Matt black bumpers, Ford’s Anglia only had chrome on higher spec cars, the standard model had self colour grille, for instance.

What goes around comes around, thank goodness, otherwise we’d have a very boring existence.....
Only my opinion, obviously, so please don’t shoot me if it doesn’t match yours!
