We call our tourer Rover and the saloon Connie or sometime Connie Connie after a line in a Peter Kay joke. Just makes it easier when the wife says’ which car are we taking ‘ !

I am curious, I know it's no longer in your ownership but how did Redfive happen upon its name? |

Our tourers are called Jerry and Margo after The Good Life characters. The MK2 Contemporary Tourer is Jerry as he's faster than the graceful MK1 Connoisseur.
The saloon is called Camilla as she's old and a bit knackered like Camilla Parker-Bowles. [The wife named them, so we just go with it ] |

Redfive, ‘cos it was Red and on a 05 plate. The car was owned by Ian G and he named the car.

None of my many cars have been given names. Although one of them, a Sunbeam Alpine 3, got called several names that can not be repeated. During the long winded restoration process various non-standard bodges were found. That was in the days before instant pics with phones etc were available so no pics were taken. Just as well really, a horror story.
These days my two are called by their manufacturers' name: "What car are we going in today then?" "Is the sun out, my petal?" " In that case it's the Rover/MX5".

My two have very intimate names. The diesel is called ‘Goldie’ guess why? And the silver one is called ‘Connie’ or ‘KV6’ .Quite emotional really.
