It's stayed in Suffolk. We've only had about 15 minutes of drizzle since the heatwave began and really do need lots of rain.

Hot and sticky in East Norfolk. Bricked up the hole where the (totally useless) aircon unit used to be in the conservatory. Came in for a cool down and it's hotter inside the house!

Finding a breeze to stand in!

Good afternoon everyone

Yesterday proved to be a enjoyable day out visiting friends at their farm outside of Taunton.

The railway project our friends are involved in turned out to be this ….

http://www.tauntonme.org.uk/devindexnvp.html

In 2019, Dave the farmer, sold 4-5 acres of a large field to the miniature railway project and last year he bought himself a 4x4 JCB Excavator which he has been using to landscape the field in preparation of the grounds for laying the little railway tracks on various levels. He said the tracks were imported from Switzerland where they were made. I think they are 5”. The trains / engines are kept in a big warehouse on site. The project is registered as a charity.

In his back garden he has built an outside railway track complete with railway station, tunnels, water features for his grand children to play with. Clearly a miniature railway enthusiast, looks like a lot of fun.

We had a great time meeting up with Jessica’s school friends and after lunch we visited the railway project in the fields. I am looking forward to going back after my op.

Morning all, blue skies here in Torquay, a lot better than the greyness when I left mid Devon this morning.

Morning all, morning Bob

Do have a fabulous day with your god daughter and the family. Hopefully the weather holds.

I have just realised Peter H funeral in Ruislip is the day after the bank holiday, we had planned to drive up the day before his funeral without realising it’s a bank holiday, a mistake. So now we are planning to drive up on the Sunday, the day before the bank holiday.

Not sure if you are going or not Bob as it is a very, very long drive. If you are we can catch up. No worries
