electronics help required
I have a basic 12v circuit that has 2 buttons, one for on and one for off. The buttons are sort that make the circuit when pressed and break when released, so a bit like a door bell.
I was thinking about changing the design so I have just 1 button. When initially pressed it acts as the on button and when pressed again it acts like the off button. I'm sure there is either a simple "use this" answer, or I have to provide a lot more detail Either way, all advice much appreciated. |

Just a simple Make/Break Switch should cover that.
One push for make, next push for break. Plenty should fill the Requirement, have a look at Maplins. I take it it is for fairly low Current? Or is it on a car or such like? http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?...source=15&SD=Y |

I see the logic, however both are "press to make, release to break". To extend the doorbell analogy, 1st press and release rings bell A, 2nd press and release rings doorbell B, then back to A and so on.
