Default MOT success

Good news for the wedgi blue conn se auto cdt today on 170k now an 14 years old.

The tester had To wait to input the results because the system doesnt expect a car to pass so quickly which he said was due to the excellent condition it was in.

Delighted with the result.

Well done. It looks amazing for a 14 year old car.

Had it from a member here over a year and 15,000 miles ago, and is a joy to drive. Has been one or two age related dings here and there but still shines up very well.

Like many of these cars it has a slight knock in the steering somewhere which is most elusive to track down. Even on the mot lift all jacked up no sign of any movement or play anywhere, and turned out my tester had recently completed his own full suspension refurb on a 75 so knew his way around the car.

It sports a lower engine mount, hydramount, lower arm plus 2 rear bushes, 2 rear brake backplates all from your good self, so no wonder i sailed through the test.

Congratulations on the pass. There is no time limit on starting and finishing an mot test. I'm guessing he did a quick mot and then was waiting to end the test so as not to drop his 'average' test time

He mentioned something about that yes. He was standing in for my usual guy who is a mot exclusive operation and gas very modern ramps and test equipment. It automatically bounces the car around checking bushes and joints whereas in the past a few years back he had to manually jack up each corner to do it all. Now it has moving plates under each wheel that jiggle and wiggle everything. Having all that kit shaves a few minutes off as well.
